Editing and deactivating a campaign

Once you've created a campaign, you manage it from the campaigns list — the main screen of the app where every campaign you've built is shown together. Each row shows the campaign's name, its status (Active or Inactive), and its schedule dates, alongside three actions: Copy link, Activate/Deactivate, and Edit.

Edit

Edit reopens the same two-step wizard you used to create the campaign — Campaign Setup, then Creative & Launch — pre-filled with everything you already set up: name and company details, schedule, reward structure, widget copy, button colours, and images. It isn't a separate editing screen; it's the same flow, just starting from your existing configuration instead of a blank one. That means everything covered in Creating a Campaign about how the wizard works — required fields, step navigation, Live Preview — applies equally here.

Activate and Deactivate

The Activate/Deactivate action toggles a campaign's active state directly from the list, without opening the wizard at all. This is the fastest way to pause a campaign — for example, if you want to temporarily stop a promotion without touching any of its configuration — and just as quickly turn it back on later.

Keep in mind the overlapping-schedule behavior described in Campaign Schedule and "Forever": it applies when you create a new campaign, not when you activate an existing one from this list. If you're switching between two already-created campaigns, activating one here doesn't automatically deactivate the other — do that yourself first, so you don't end up with two active at once.

Copy link copies the campaign's static referral page URL — the same link a referrer gets when they choose to share with a friend. Having this available directly from the list is useful when you want to promote your referral program somewhere Soreto doesn't automatically place it, like a link in your site's navigation menu, a mention in a marketing email, or a post on social media, rather than relying solely on the in-store placements (floating widget, inline card, thank-you page, order status page) to introduce customers to it.

Common questions

  • If I edit an active campaign, does it stay active? Yes. Editing through the wizard changes the campaign's configuration — it doesn't touch whether the campaign is active or inactive. If you want to pause or resume a campaign, use Activate/Deactivate on the list instead; that's what it's for.
  • Can I delete a campaign entirely? No — the app doesn't currently support deleting a campaign. Deactivate is the way to stop a campaign without removing it; its configuration and history stay in your campaigns list.
