Button colours not applying
Whether custom button colours should even be visible depends entirely on which placement you're looking at. Work through this in order.
1. Confirm which placement this is about
Custom button colours only apply to two of the four placements: the floating widget and the inline card. The thank-you page and order status page structurally cannot show custom button colours — this is a Shopify checkout UI extension platform limitation, not something Soreto controls or has left unfinished. The button component available in checkout UI extensions has no colour property at all.
If the report is about the thank-you page or order status page: this is expected behaviour, not a fault. No further troubleshooting is needed — see Widgets & Placements for the full explanation of what each placement can and can't customize.
If the report is about the floating widget or the inline card, keep going.
2. For the floating widget: check the Theme Editor's Accent color setting
If a merchant has set an explicit Accent color for the Soreto Embed in Shopify's Theme Editor, that setting always overrides the campaign's own button colours, by design. A merchant's own theme-level branding choice takes priority over a campaign default.
Where to check: Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds → Soreto Embed → look for an Accent color field. This field ships with a dark grey colour already filled in by default — so even a merchant who's never touched it isn't in a truly "unset" state, and should still check and clear it here rather than assuming it's blank because it was never edited.
What to do: clear the Accent color field to blank and Save. With the field genuinely blank, the campaign's own button colours will apply again.
3. For the inline card: there's no known override
Unlike the floating widget, the inline card's Continue button colour has no equivalent override — it should always reflect the campaign's own "Button colours" setting from the campaign wizard.
If the inline card's button colour genuinely doesn't match your campaign's configured colours, and you've confirmed the card is showing the correct campaign, this isn't an expected or known behaviour — treat it as a real bug rather than continuing to check settings.
Still not resolved?
Let us know which placement is affected. If it's the floating widget, please confirm what you found in the Theme Editor's Accent color field for the embed (see step 2) before escalating further — that single setting resolves the large majority of reports like this. If it's the inline card and the colours still don't match after confirming the campaign's own button colour setting, tell us your store's domain and which campaign this is on so we can investigate directly.
