Inline card
Where it shows up
The inline card is a card embedded directly into a page or section of your store — for example, the product page or the customer account page — rather than floating over the content the way the floating widget does. It sits in the normal flow of the page, wherever you place it.
Why use it
Some merchants would rather present the referral offer as a natural part of a page's layout instead of a floating overlay — for example, on a product page where it reads as part of the page's content, or on the account page where a returning customer is already thinking about their relationship with your store.
Where to enable it
The inline card is a Shopify theme app block, added to a specific section on a specific template — not a singleton like the floating widget. That means you choose exactly where it appears, and you can add it to more than one template if you want it in multiple places.
- In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize to open the Theme Editor.
- Navigate to the template you want the card on (for example, the product template or the account page).
- Select the section you want it to appear in, then Add block.
- Open the Apps tab and choose "Soreto Widget."
- Save.
Repeat this for any other template where you want the card to appear.
Where to customize it
The inline card is customized in two places:
- This app's campaign wizard (Creative & Launch step) controls the card's copy and campaign images — the same shared settings used by the floating widget.
- Shopify's Theme Editor, in the block's own settings, controls its position within the section and an accent colour setting.
That accent colour setting is where the inline card genuinely differs from the floating widget: it only ever affects the colour of a small eyebrow badge's text on the card. It never touches the Continue button. That means there's no competing theme-level override to worry about here — your campaign's own button colours always apply to this placement's Continue button, with no exceptions.
Common confusion
Because the inline card shares the same wizard fields as the floating widget, merchants sometimes assume it behaves identically for colours — expecting a Theme Editor setting somewhere that could override the button colour the same way it does for the floating widget. It doesn't exist for this placement. The block's accent colour setting is scoped to the eyebrow badge only, so the campaign's button colours always win here. If you're troubleshooting a colour mismatch on the inline card specifically, look at the campaign's own colour settings — not the Theme Editor — since the Theme Editor has no way to override this placement's button.
Common questions
- Can I add the inline card to more than one page? Yes — it's a block, so you add it individually to each template and section where you want it, and each placement is independent.
- Does the Theme Editor's accent colour setting change my Continue button's colour? No, not on this placement. It only changes the text colour of the eyebrow badge on the card. The Continue button always uses your campaign's button colours.
- I set an accent colour in the Theme Editor and my button colour didn't change — is that a bug? No — that's expected. The inline card's accent colour setting was never designed to affect the Continue button, only the eyebrow badge.
- Why does my inline card's button match my campaign but my floating widget's doesn't? The floating widget has its own Accent color setting in the Theme Editor that can override the campaign's button colours.
