Thank-you page
Where it shows up
The thank-you page card appears to the customer immediately after they complete checkout, on Shopify's Thank-you page. It's built as a Shopify checkout UI extension — a fundamentally different kind of surface from the theme app embed and block used by the floating widget and inline card.
Why use it
This is the moment right after a customer has bought something, when their purchase is freshest in their mind — many merchants find it's the highest-intent moment to invite a customer to share with a friend.
Where to enable it
This placement lives in an entirely different Shopify surface from the two Theme Editor placements. To add it:
- In Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Checkout.
- Click Customize to open the Checkout editor.
- Switch to the "Thank you" page.
- Click Add block.
- Find the extension under your installed apps and add it.
Where to customize it
Once the block is added, it has its own settings panel inside the Checkout editor with one setting that matters most: "Show share buttons."
This toggle is off by default, and it's a native Shopify Checkout-editor setting — not something this app sets on your behalf. What it controls:
- Off (default): the block shows only your campaign's thank-you page banner image. The whole image is a link through to the referral page — there's no button drawn on it, no heading, no description, and no share form.
- On: the full card appears — heading, description, the identity-capture form (first name and email), and then the row of share icons.
Copy and the banner image itself still come from this app's campaign wizard (including the thank-you page's own copy override, if you've set one). But whether the full card or just the banner shows is controlled entirely by this Shopify toggle.
Custom button colours are not supported on this placement, at all. This is a hard Shopify platform limitation, not a gap in this app. Checkout UI extensions are built exclusively from Shopify's own fixed component set, and that component set's button component has no colour-customization prop whatsoever — by design, so that every checkout looks consistent and trustworthy regardless of which apps are installed. The "Button colours" field in the campaign wizard has no effect here, no matter how it's set, and there's no workaround. This isn't something a future update to this app can change, because the constraint sits in Shopify's checkout extension framework itself.
Common confusion
"I added the block but I only see the banner image — no share buttons or form." This is the "Show share buttons" toggle being off, not a broken installation. Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Checkout → Customize → Thank you, select the block, and turn "Show share buttons" on. This is a Shopify Checkout-editor setting, so it's fixed there — not in this app's campaign wizard.
Common questions
- Why doesn't my campaign's button colour show up on the thank-you page? Checkout UI extensions can't be colour-customized at all — Shopify's own button component for this surface has no colour prop. This applies to every app's checkout extension, not just this one, and it isn't something that can be fixed on this app's end.
- Can I turn "Show share buttons" on by default for new campaigns? No — it's a per-block setting inside Shopify's Checkout editor, not a campaign-level setting, so it has to be set there once for your checkout.
- If "Show share buttons" is off, does the banner still link anywhere? Yes — the whole banner image is a link through to the referral share flow, even with the toggle off. Turning the toggle on adds the heading, description, and share form in front of that same flow.
- Is this the same extension as the order status page? They're close siblings — both use the same card component and the same "Show share buttons" behavior — but they're added separately in the Checkout editor, on the "Thank you" and "Order status" pages respectively. See Order status page.
